Privacy Policy

The short version
- We collect what you put in the app so it can work out your days of supply, and not much else.
- We never sell your data, and there are no ads in the app.
- Only you and the people you invite can see your list.
- Your location is only used when you tap "Use today's weather", and we don't keep it.
- You can download your data any time, and ask us to delete it.
1. Who this covers
This policy explains how Days of Supply LLC ("we", "us") handles information in the Days of Supply app, this website and our emails. It works alongside our Terms of Service.
2. What we collect
What you give us:
- Account details: your email address, and your plan and billing status.
- Your household: names you enter for family members and pets, and birth dates or ages, used to work out how much food and water you need.
- Your supplies: items, quantities, dates, storage locations, notes, and small thumbnail images of labels you photograph.
- Your places: names and types of your home, cabin or RV, and your answers about power, water, gas, heat, generator, fuel, animals and typical weather.
- Documents: the documents you list, their expiration dates, and any license or policy numbers you choose to enter. Enter only what you're comfortable storing.
- Messages: anything you send through Help, Suggest, or email.
What's collected automatically:
- Basic technical information needed to run and protect the service, such as your IP address, browser type and the times you sign in.
- Website visit counts through Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or track you across other websites.
Only when you ask: if you tap "Use today's weather", your phone shares your approximate location. We send it to our weather provider to get the current temperature, and save only the temperature, not your location.
Payments: card details go straight to Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
3. How we use it
- To run the app: work out your days of supply, show what's expired, build shopping lists and recipes, and plan for emergencies.
- To sign you in, keep your account secure, and let the people you invite see the places you share with them.
- To send the emails you ask for, such as sign-in links, invitations and reminders, and account emails about billing or important changes.
- To answer your questions and suggestions, and to improve the app.
- To prevent abuse, including fair-use limits, and to meet legal obligations.
We don't sell your personal information, we don't share it with advertisers, and we don't use it to show you ads.
4. Who helps us run the service
We use a small number of trusted providers, who may process your information only to provide their service to us:

| Open-Meteo | Provides the current temperature when you tap "Use today's weather". |
5. When else information is shared
- With people you invite. People you invite can see and change the places you've chosen for them. You control this in Settings, under Users.
- If the law requires it. We may share information when we reasonably believe it's required by law, or needed to protect someone's safety or our rights.
- If our business changes hands. If Days of Supply is sold or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner, who must keep protecting it as this policy describes. We'll tell you before that happens.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we'll delete your data within 30 days, including from backups, except anything we must keep by law, such as billing records.
7. How we protect it
Your data travels over encrypted connections. You sign in with emailed links instead of passwords, each person's access is checked on every request, and you can add a phone lock (PIN) that stays on your own device. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you promptly if a breach affects you.
8. Your choices
- See and download it: download your list as a spreadsheet from Settings, under Backup, at any time.
- Fix it: edit anything in the app.
- Delete it: delete items yourself, or email [email protected] from your sign-in email to delete your whole account.
- Emails: turn reminder emails off in Settings. We'll still send sign-in links and essential account emails.
- Location: you never have to share it. Type the temperature instead.
Depending on where you live, including Utah and other states with privacy laws, you may have additional rights. Email us and we'll help, without any charge.
9. Children
Accounts are for adults 18 and over. Parents may enter details about their children, such as a first name and birth date, to plan for their household. We don't knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
10. Cookies and storage on your device
The app stores a sign-in token, your preferences and a copy of your list on your device so it works offline. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
11. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when things change. If a change is significant, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
